Art Journal Everyday, Turkey Leg

Lately, I find myself drawn to bright, light colors.  Watercolors keep catching my eye. I guess I'm ready for some flowers in my garden.

Anyway, I made the background for this page ages ago when I bought a cheap set of watercolors.  I combined two of my favorite things - blue and circles. It looks a little washed out in this picture but really it is quite bright and cheerful.

The journaling actually started with the words "turkey leg". I don't know how or when it started but I call my kids turkey leg all the time.  As in, "hurry up, turkey leg!" It's a funny/odd turn of phrase, don't you think? So, I ripped the page out of my art journal and put it into my typewriter and started typing other silly words and phrases. I love how it looks and will definitely be doing more of that!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
