October Challenge: Scrap 365

Hi Friends,

This is a quick post to share a page that has been in the works for a while. Here's my page.

Scrap 365_1

I was inspired by the October sketch from Scrap 365. I just can't resist circles.

Scrap 365_2

I layered some circle shapes - a doily, a gold doily diecut and some twine painted with gesso - around my photo.

Then I started work on my background. I used the Finnabair 3D Matte Gel by Prima with my favorite Dina Wakley stencil - Affirmations. I wanted a tone-on-tone effect so I painted the 3D Gel white.

Then I put my layered photo cluster on a sheet of book paper. I had repeated the circle motif using  the Finnabair Bubbles stencil and more 3D Matte Gel and then a coat of gesso to continue the tone on tone look and feel of the page.

I cut the doily from the gold foil cardstock that I found at my LSS The Paperie. It's amazing!

And that's it for this page. If you have any questions about techniques or products, please leave a note in the comments and I'll get back to you.

Thanks for stopping by!
