Art Journal Everyday: She Art Girl #1

Have you taken any classes from Christy Tomlinson?  She is the queen of texture and her She Art classes are fab.u.lous!  I got them on sale and I actually feel a little guilty about not paying full price.  Seriously. There is just so much in those classes.  I highly recommend them.

Anyway, yesterday was a bit of a trial around here. So, when it came time to art journal I ended up with a much different girl then I had intended.

Her bright orange hair was a piece of paper towel I had used for cleaning up some spray ink.  I cut around the shape of ink and discarded anything white. Then I cut out the head and neck, glued it down, painted and outlined.  After she was in place, I journaled like crazy. I thought it might make an interesting background and it was very therapeutic. In the end, it was fun and I'm glad to have my first She Art Girl - yay!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend. I'm taking a class at my LSS, The Paperie, from my friend, Krista. It's all about kits and becoming a faster and more creative scrapper.  Sounds fabulous, right?

Thanks for stopping by!

    1. Hi Madeline, thanks for stopping by and for your wonderful comment. Sometimes I just have to keep the pretty paper towels but I try not to hoard too many.

    1. Thanks! It's fun to use found items in my art journal. Paper towels are great to re-use because they add color and texture.
